Suitable for: Freedivers with a special interest in marine interaction, underwater photography, serious depth training or how about a week of just plain FUN!

You will be limited to the maximum depth of your certification (i.e. Lvl 1 Freedivers are limited to 66ft/20m). Please contact us if you have any questions.

Daily Schedule:

Events run from 9am-1pm daily, with the afternoons free to explore the island! Evening social events and FII Freediver and Shortfinned Pilot Whales during the FII Kona Freediving Campmeetings run on four nights of the week and the mid-week day off/beach BBQ day runs on Wednesday from 1pm-6pm. It's a full week and you're going to love it!

Charity Breathhold Competition at Blue Wild Expo

 

Freediving Instructors International to Host Fun Charity Breath-hold Competition at Blue Wild Expo


Freediving Instructors International (F.I.I.) has announced that it will be hosting a charity breath- hold competition at the 2015 Blue Wild Ocean Adventure and Marine Art Expo on Saturday, February 21 at noon at the Nautical Ventures Pool. The competition will be hosted by 13x World Record Freediver Martin Stepanek with special guest World Record Spearfisherman Cameron Kirkconnell.


The competition will be run in an exciting new format with local certified freedivers going head-to-head in dual elimination breath holding heats. Florida swimsuit models Sarah Jarrett and Stacey Johnson will be hosting a raffle where spectators will have the chance to win incredible prizes such as Yamamoto wetsuits, carbon fiber fins, and Bahamian pole spear packages. "This promises to be an exciting afternoon of entertainment for a great cause," says Martin Stepanek.

 Welcome to the FII Tenerife Freediving Camp 2015! This camp is a way for you to train in one of the most desirable freediving locations in the world while receiving some of the best freediving instruction offered! It is situated in Tenerife (land of the eternal spring time) located in the Canary Islands, Spain. Not only will you have an amazing freediving experience, but you will have time to experience the island’s natural wonders such as volcanoes, cliffs, forests and of course, the wonderful gastronomy of Spain.

 

Who is the camp for? This camp caters to all experience levels from beginner to competitor. The camp offers an ideal daily depth training opportunity with a full safety set-up and highly experienced crew.  For competitors, this is an ideal depth build up for your competition calender. For beginners, this is a fun way to train in a safe environment, enjoy some recreational freediving adventures and meet the community!

For non FII-certified divers (those freedivers who are coming from other agencies), you will be required to attend a 5 hour FII Basic Freedive Safety Course on the first day.  For non-certified freedivers, or new divers to the community Errol will be offering FII certified freediving courses prior to the camp week.
