Maca is the kind of girl that was meant to be in the water. She grew up in Santiago, Chile but every weekend she would go with her family to the ocean to spend their vacation. This love and connection with the ocean eventually brought her to Mexico, where she become a Marine Biologist and a truly passionate advocate for this fascinating underwater world â?? The Ocean. During University Maca decided to start free diving in a more competitive way. She participated for two consecutive years in the famous Vertical Blue that is organized each year on the majestic and amazing Blue Hole on Long Island . Throughout the competition, not only do you enjoy yourself but you need to train hard and have a very high concentration level in order to achieve good results . She has competed and achieved 7 times records for Chile , in depth disciplines and she is currently training to achieve the pool records for Chile too. She truely enjoys every second she spends underwater, and due to this she decided to become a Free diving Instructor and share her passion and conscious education to all the underwater lovers. Its been more that two years that Maca has decided to live near the amazing underwater rivers of Quintana Roo â?? The Cenotes. This place has it all . The Caribbean ocean with its many different type of blues , reefs and wrecks , and the crystal clear, amazing, unreal Cenotes . Free Diving is a very unique and mentally challenging sport that anyone can experience, for many of us, its has changed our lives and it can do the same for you.
