October 23-25, 2026 | San Juan County Park
Leave the everyday behind and spend a weekend camping and exploring the wild waters of San Juan Island.
Over three days, we’ll use the tides, currents, weather, and conditions to guide our exploration, diving multiple times each day in search of kelp forests, rugged current-swept coastline, and quiet bays. This is an opportunity to experience the island from below the surface while developing the skills and awareness needed to move confidently through changing open water conditions.
Along the way, you’ll sharpen your dive planning, build confidence in open water, and develop a deeper understanding of how to read and respond to the environment. There will be plenty of time to explore, learn, and simply enjoy being in the water with a small group of like-minded freedivers.
Evenings will be spent around the fire, sharing good food, stories, and the experiences of the day, with the possibility of exploring the island’s bioluminescent waters after dark. Bring something to share for our nightly potlucks and come ready for a weekend built around adventure, connection, and community.
If conditions are right, we’ll also have the opportunity to explore some of the island’s best shore-based vantage points, with a real chance of spotting orcas in the surrounding waters.
This experience is open to certified freedivers of any agency.
Arrive as early as possible on Friday, October 23rd, so we can make the most of the weekend. Camp breaks Sunday, October 25th.
Shared campsites are reserved for the group. Camping gear, food, and ferry travel are your responsibility. Bring extra food to share for the potlucks.
Come prepared for a weekend of exploration, changing conditions, and plenty of time between breaths.
