I am a Florida native and 23-year U.S. Marine Corps veteran with a lifelong connection to the ocean. My journey started in Miami fishing and diving with my father and grandfathers. This evolved into a deep passion for freedive spearfishing while stationed in San Diego and Monterey, CA where I spent countless days in the kelp beds hunting for fresh catch. After studying the Indonesian language in graduate school I took a military assignment that had me traveling Southeast Asia for seven years. I had the privilege of spearfishing and surfing in some of the most remote and pristine waters on the planet. I forged a special bond with Okinawa?where both of my kids were born?before bringing my family home to Merritt Island to reconnect with Florida. I mostly enjoy exploring overlooked and off-the-map diving spots chasing the thrill of discovering new grounds. My mission is to share that same sense of adventure while introducing fellow combat veterans to freediving as a powerful and restorative outlet.
